Banff National Park
Banff National Park is one of the oldest national park of Canada and was created in 1883 in the Rocky Mountains. Banff National Park was Canada’s first national park and world’s third national park. It is one of the world’s first or main destination spots as it covers the area of 6,641 square kilometres that is 2,564 square miles that includes valleys, glaciers, rivers, mountains, forest and meadows.
Banff National Park is situated in the province of Alberta. Banff is a center of commercialization as it is the largest town and situated in Banff National Park. Banff National Park is surrounded by many other national parks like Kananaskis Country in the south, Provincial forests and Yoho National Park are in the west of Banff National Park and Kootenay National Park in the south.

Banff National Park has large varieties of species. In the park the most common wildlife seen are Caribou, Bighorn Sheep, Elk and Deer. Moose are very small in number as there population is declining and they are more exclusive. Mountain Goats are present at large number and can be seen without binoculars. Banff National Park is also home to Mountain Lions, Black and Grizzly Bears, Coyotes and Wolves.
