England kept their winning run intact against West Indies as they beat Indies by 114 runs (D/L method) in the first ODI match at Southampton. In a rain delayed match, England put a massive total of 288, inspired by Ian Bell’s second ODI hundred. Bell scored 126 of 178 balls, leveling his pre highest score in ODI. In reply, the Indies’ resistance collapsed within just 172 as Tim Bresnan produced one of his finest one day bowling, by taking four wickets for just 34 runs.
