World Cup 2011 Semifinal – India Vs Pakistan
Was that a cricket match or war? India and Pakistan have met four times in World Cup matches with a 100 per cent record in India’s favour. India won the toss and elected to bat first. Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag was open and both tried to maintain run rate over 8 runs/over. India had already been scored 48 runs when Virendra Sehwas out in 6th overs. Sachin was the highest scorer who scored 85 runs and the final figure was 260/9 in 50 overs.
Pakistan had to score 261 runs to win at 5.22 runs per over. Pakistan was playing slow from the first over. India took 6 overs to score 50 runs whether Pakistan touch the barrier of 50 runs in 10th over. Misbah-ul-Haq was the highest scorer but he was too slow. He played 76 balls to score 56 runs and it created differences. Mohammad Hafeez also scored 43 runs but he also played 59 balls.
